RMP Challenge 7
Jamrock RC Car Club staged race 2 of the IES Season 4 series. The event was staged on Sunday October 15, 2017 at the Sovereign Center on the Boulevard in Kingston Jamaica. The race-day started out with the very quiet & swift electric cars; however, the roaring sounds of the rain came after all the qualifying heats but before the mains (finals) started.
We have raised the stakes with the 7th staging of the RMP Challenge RC race event. Jamrock RC Car Club in association with RMP & Associates Ltd presents the most rewarding RC race event in Kingston Jamaica. This year’s event give drivers the chance of taking home a combine total of $1,000.00 (US Dollars).
Sunday September 17, 2017 was the start of the Island Nitro Series (INS) season 8. The nitro race event featured 1:10 Touring and 1:8 GT Classes with 2 rounds of qualifying and a 30 minutes mains. The rains came at the end of qualifying
Jamrock RC Car Club stages season 8 of the of the Island Nitro Series (INS). This is Jamaica's first and only nitro Model Car racing series that seeks to develop local drivers for international competitions. The new INS season will begin September 10, 2017 and will run through to May 20, 2018 where the race champion may be determined.

This is season 8 of the Island Nitro Series and will run from September through to May. The event is a five race series where the best four races of each driver is used to determine the champion. click on the INS Points Standing to follow the overall points of all the racers and to see who is currently leading the series. Island Nitro Series is Jamaica's longest running and Model-Car racing points series. The series have been running consistently from 1999. It has been responsible for the the development of so many racers in Jamaica, allowing them to become highly competitive both locally and internationally.
Jamrock RC Car Club congratulates Noel Chang and Lascelles Ellis on their successful election to serve as Club Vice President and Secretary respectively for 2017-2019. They were returned unopposed following the club’s election of officers held at the August 2017 meeting. Their term in office will be for two administrative years (2017/2018 & 2018/2019) starting September 2017.
August 11 – 13, 2017 was the 3rd staging of the Caribbean Invitational Competition in Kingston Jamaica. The event featured classes of 1/10 Nitro & Electric Touring Classes and 1/8 Nitro Gt class and was represented by racers from Grand Cayman, Trinidad & Tobago, USA and Jamaica.
The new season of the Island Electric Series race begins July 16, 2017 in Kingston Jamaica. Following the tremendous success of the last season, this new season brings with it, a new class; Formula 1 (F1) Class. The introduction of the new F1 class is based on the need to expand the improve participation of persons in all areas of club activities.
The new season is expected to bring about far more buzz and excitement as the F1 class has been highly anticipated from last season. We are seeing new entrants already to this year's season and is really shaping up to be really interesting. Championship of the season will continue to be best 4 out of 5 races and with the additional class.

Race 4 out of 5 of the Island Nitro Series ended on Sunday March 12, 2017 with an even closer points standing. This will make race 5 the most competitive race for the season as this is where the champions will be defined.
